Norine Marie Jelmberg
Norine Marie Jelmberg, 79, passed away on February 21, 2014. Norine lived in Othello for 52 years.
Norine was born on 11-28-34 in Malone, Washington, to Edwin and Gertrude (Otto) Dubuque. She was the youngest of 8 children. Norine graduated from Olympia High School in 1952. She then attended WSU for two years. She married veterinarian Dr. Jack Jelmberg, her true love, on July 17, 1955.
Wherever Norine went, she was a favorite of all. She carried the blessing of the Holy Spirit, the sacrificial love of Jesus, and the unconditional acceptance of the Father. Everyone felt a sense of love and comfort in her presence.
Norine was greeted in heaven by her husband Jack, 5 grandchildren, and 6 of her siblings. She is survived by her sister Loretta (Chuck) Graves of Wenatchee; stepmother in law, Doris (George) Jelmberg, Othello; sons, Jeffrey (Sue) Jelmberg, Othello, and Steven (Sabra) Jelmberg, Arizona; daughters Julie (Joe) Rose, Wyoming, and Marilee (Bryan) Johnson, Othello; brothers in law William (Jackie) Jelmberg, Missouri, and George (Shelly) Jelmberg, Royal City; sisters in law Maria (Wiley) Allred, Royal City; and Anna (Allen) Jelmberg-Miedema, Bothell; numerous nieces and nephews in Olympia and California; six grandsons, three granddaughters, and one great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Othello Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Robert Luhn officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Steven's Funeral Chapel.
