Four masked men rob George grocery store
GEORGE - Four masked men robbed Sandoval's market in George last Friday night, and Saturday Grant County Sheriff's detectives were asking the public for help in solving the case.
Deputies were called to Sandoval's at around 8 p.m. on Feb. 13. The robbery victims said the four men entered the store, forced the two store clerks to hand over the store's cash, and then tied them up.
A customer who entered the store during the robbery was also tied up. Nobody was injured during the robbery.
A black 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche was seen in front of the store at the time of the robbery. The Avalanche was found abandoned a short distance away on Beverly Burke Road Southwest after the robbery.
The Avalanche had been listed as stolen out of the Tri-Cities. It's probable the robbers abandoned the Avalanche and got into one or more other vehicles to escape, the sheriff's office said.
Anyone with information, or who saw any unusual people or vehicles in or near George the night of the 13th are asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 509-762-1160, or send info to crimetips@co.grant.wa.us.
