ML prepares for state

MOSES LAKE - After an undefeated regular season and a second place finish at district, Moses Lake boys swim is preparing for the state swim meet in Federal Way.

Moses Lake took 11th place last season and the team's goal this year is to finish in the top 10.

Brenden Eslick enters the meet seeded second in the 200-yard freestyle and fifth in the 100-yard butterfly. Zack Johnston is seeded fourth in the 200-yard freestyle and third in the 500-yard freestyle.

Kaelan Connacher is seeded 16th in the 100-yard back stroke and 20th in the 100-yard freestyle.

Madison Molitor enters state seeded 23rd in the 50-yard freestyle and 22nd in the 100-yard freestyle.

The relay team of Johnston, Molitor, Connacher and Eslick is seeded third in both the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

A combination of Chris Vidrine, Tristiane Randall, Logan Osborne, Andrew Phipps, Calvin Wytko and Dallin Phipps will make up a four-man relay team that is seeded 16th in the 200-yard medley relay.

A decision of who will compete will be made on the deck, according to head coach Tony St. Onge.

Randall will also compete in the diving competition.

The meet is scheduled to begin Feb. 21 at noon and will continue Feb. 22 at noon.
