Public safety awards Tuesday in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE - Local law enforcement and firefighters will be honored Tuesday during the annual Masonic Lodge #174 Public Safety Recognition Evening.

The seventh annual event begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Masonic Lodge at 811 E. Hill Street in Moses Lake.

Members of the Moses Lake Police Department, Moses Lake Fire Department, Grant County Sheriff's Office, Grant County Fire District No. 5 and the Washington State Patrol Moses Lake detachment will be presented with public service awards during the ceremony. Award recipients are nominated by leadership members of each department.

"This event expresses our care for members of public safety, while fulfilling our Masonic commitment to supporting our community," Gordon Harris said, chairman of the awards.

The event is open to the public and light refreshments will follow the ceremony.
