Steak expert Warren Small set for booster club dinner
ROYAL CITY - Warren Small is not just a Royal School Board member. He's much more important.
The Royal Boosters member is a steak chef of renown, at least in these parts. So he's been chosen to prepare the steaks for the Royal Boosters Dinner and Auction next Monday, Feb. 24, at the Red Rock Elementary gym.
Doors for the fund raiser will open at 5:30 p.m. for attendees to socialize before senior students begin serving dinner between 6-8 p.m. The menu includes steak, a baked potato, steamed veggies, a dinner roll, and flan for dessert.
"Several parents of the senior class have joined forces to plan a great dinner," advisor Mario Godoy-Gonzalez said.
Following the dinner, a long list of donated items will be auctioned.
All proceeds from the auction benefit the Royal Boosters Club, a non-profit organization whose sole mission is to raise money for after-school activities for youngsters attending Royal City schools.
The Senior Class will offer babysitting services.
Tickets will cost $25 for couples and $15 for singles. They are available at Royal City Harvest Foods, the Royal High School office, and from senior students.
Contact Mario Godoy, senior class advisor, if you need tickets or further information.
