Moses Lake boy charged with first-degree murder

MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake boy is in custody in the Feb. 16 killing of Brandon Michael Mende.
Michael David Meier, 17, will be charged with first-degree murder after he was arrested without incident Thursday morning at 425 North Grape Drive in Moses Lake by sheriff's deputies, Moses Lake police and U.S. Marshals.
Detectives have received evidence that points to Meier as the alleged shooter, according to the sheriff's office.
Mende was shot and killed in the yard of a home in the 6000 block of Turnkey Road in Moses Lake early Sunday morning.
