Roland Charles Huff

Roland Charles Huff, born February 27th, 1932, passed away February 7th in the home of his nephew in Spokane, where he had made his home for the last year. He was the son of Everett R and Viola M (Swannack) Huff. He is survived by his wife, Valerie of Spokane Wa, his sister, Linda Howell of San Tan Valley AZ, two children, Juanito Huff of Spokane WA, and Perla Carlen and her son, of Puerto Princesa, Philippine Islands. Also, two stepsons, Gordon Minnis and his family of Moses Lake, WA, and Gary Swager of Moses Lake, WA. He was predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Anastacia.

After serving in the USAF for 22 years, including time in Vietnam, Roland retired in 1973, and drove for DSHS in Moses Lake for many years after. He was also a block watch captain in Moses Lake. Roland was a devout Christian and made church attendance and activities an important part of his life. In December of 2012, Roland and his wife moved up to Spokane to join his son, Johnny, and be cared for by family. He loved being a member of the VFW, going twice a week to dance and enjoy time with other veterans.

A memorial service will be held at Peninsula Community Church at 2403 W Texas Street in Moses Lake at 1:00PM, Tuesday February 18th. Interment will be the next day at 10:30AM at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA
