Karen was born June 28, 1962 in Wallace, Idaho to Jim and Patricia Marshall. She was raised in northern Idaho where she met her beloved husband, Craig McCuistion. They were married in Mullan, Idaho on June 12, 1982. In 1985, they moved to Moses Lake, where they raised their two children, Steven and Shelly. Karen worked for many years at Sun Spice before going to work for the Moses Lake School District as a cook in the kitchen for the high school. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, reading, and she loved sitting in the bleachers watching her daughter's softball games. She was actively involved with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and enjoyed attending church sermons on Sunday. Karen always had a smile and the most cheerful laugh; she brightened every room she entered. She was the most caring wife, mother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Craig; son Steven; daughter Shelly; mother Patricia Marshall of Lewiston, ID; sisters Norma and Loretta, both of Lewiston, ID; mother- and father-in-law Trudy and Craig McCuistion. She also leaves behind her dear sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Jim Marshall.

She was truly loved and cherished and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
