Sealed bids will be received by Grant Transit Authority (Owner) at 8392 Westover Blvd, NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837 prior to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. The bids will then be
publically opened and read aloud. Untimely bids and materially deficient bids are invalid and will not be reviewed or accepted by GTA.
Project consists of the removal of asbestos containing materials, the demolition of building structures and preparation of the site for future construction. The estimated base bid cost range is $108,000 - $114,000.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE
10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. The pre-bid conference will be held in the conference
room at Grant Transit Authority, 8392 Westover Blvd, NE, Moses Lake, WA and will be followed by a walk- through of the site. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for prime and asbestos
abatement contractors.
Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, money order or surety bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to Grant Transit Authority.
Performance and payment bonds will be required with the contract.
Prevailing wage rates are applicable for this public works project located in Grant County, Washington. Bidders are responsible to verify and use the most recent prevailing wage rates. The "Effective Date" for this project is the Bid Proposal due date above. The applicable prevailing wage rates may be found on the Department of Labor and Industries website located at https://fortress.wa.gov/Ini/wagelookup/prvWagelookup.aspx.
Contractors may obtain plans and specifications from the office of the consultant: Cortner Architectural Co., 1903 W. 3rd Ave., Spokane, WA, 99201, phone (509) 363-1039, fax (509) 624-4486 upon the refundable deposit of $150.000 and $20.00 non-refundable shipping deposit, if applicable. Complete plan sets must be returned in good condition within ten (10) days following the bid date to obtain a refund of deposit. After seven days no refunds will be made.
