3 injured in accident near Quincy

QUINCY - Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident near Quincy this week.

About 8:30 a.m., Dale Dahlke, 60, of Waterville, was driving a 2005 Ford F-350 pickup truck, while towing a gooseneck trailer, east on state Route 28, about five miles west of Quincy, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Dahlke was reportedly following a crane slowly.

Dahlke's trailer was struck in the rear by Elias Manjares, 57, of Royal City, who was driving a 1995 Ford Ranger pick-up truck.

About five minutes later, Jennifer Rice, 32, of East Wenatchee, who was driving a 2012 GMC Terrain, struck Dahlke's and Manjares's vehicles as she was driving east on SR 28.

Rice's vehicle caught on fire after she crashed into the other vehicles, according to the patrol.

Manjares, and his passenger Cruz Guido, 49, of Wenatchee, and Rice were injured and transported by ambulance to Quincy Valley Medical Center.

Both Manjares' and Rice's vehicles were totaled.

Manjares and Rice were cited for speeding too fast for conditions, according to the patrol.
