Donald "Mac" McDonald

1923-2014

Donald "Mac" McDonald, 91 a resident of Moses Lake since 1962 passed away Monday morning, December 22, 2014 at home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Kayser's Chapel of Memories. Mac was born September 28, 1923 in Waukon, Iowa to the late Edward and Mary (Gerky) McDonald. He was raised and educated in Waukon and then joined the United State Navy and served as a pharmacist's mate during World War II. After his honorable discharge in 1945, he married Janet Fleming in Miami, Florida. Mac then attended the University of Washington's School of Pharmacology.

In 1962 they moved to Moses Lake where they have resided since. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet in 1999 and a daughter, Kathy, in 2004.

Survivors include his partner of 13 years, Terri Brooks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim & Sandi McDonald and Jim & Denise McDonald of Seattle; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbie & Brian Folden of Spokane; 6 grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Seth, Shane, Kelli & Kacie; and 6 great grandchildren, Parker, Preston, Chase, Colton, Kayden and Gunner.
