Bonifacio Alvarez

1949-2014

Bonifacio Alvarez of Othello, Wash. passed away and went to heaven on December 19, 2014 in Wenatchee, Wash. in Central Washington Hospital at the age of 65.

He was born to the late Natividad and Maria (Rodriguez) Alvarez in Gunnison, Miss. on June 5, 1949, the third child of his family of eight children. He came to Othello, Wash. in 1965 at the age of 15 with his family, due to an ill family member. He stayed and worked here all his life; he worked at processing plants starting with L & B, Chef Reddy, Harvest Fresh and then went back to McCain's. He was an amazing man, he was dedicated, sweet and kind-hearted, humorous, and optimistic as described by his loving family. Bonifacio was a very hard worker inside and outside his home, he was always helping take care of his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his siblings, Henry Alvarez, Mary Lou (Jose) Riojas, of Othello, Wash., Linda (Carmen) Candengo of Kennewick, Wash., Natividad Alvarez of Moses Lake, Wash., Alvida (Juan) Chavez, Auggie (Shanna) Alvarez of Othello, Wash., and numerous nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Octaviano Rodriguez, his parents Natividad and Maria Alvarez, sisters Antonia Molina and Maria Ester Alvarez, sisters-in-law Carmen Alvarez and Nerida Alvarez.

He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends but he will never be forgotten.

Viewing will be held from 8 - 10:30 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2014 in Apostólica Cristo Jesus, 211 W. Cunningham Rd., Othello, WA 99344 Burial and concluding services will immediately follow in Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens, Othello.
