Ruthie Ann Couch-Marez

Ruthie Ann Marez, 61, of Moses Lake, Wash. went to be with the Lord and reunite with the love of her life Danny Marez, and her baby boy Brandy Aguilar, on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014.

She was the fourth of seven children born to Edward & Edna Couch, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota on January 8, 1953 and as an infant was moved to Washington, where she was raised in Warden and Moses Lake. In 1967, she welcomed her first son born son Tom Martinsen and married her first husband Steve Martinsen.  After Steve's passing, Ruthie Ann relocated to Spokane, WA and met Nestor Aguilar, where they welcomed her second son, Brandy. Her and Nestor parted ways and Ruthie Ann moved back to Moses Lake, where she met and married the love of her life, Daniel Marez Sr. and was blessed with two more sons Daniel Marez Jr. and David Marez. Ruthie Ann enjoyed sewing, bingo, knitting, crocheting, playing womens league pool, cooking, frying fish, tejano music, dancing and shopping.

She is survived by three sons Tom Martinsen, Daniel Marez Jr, David Marez, and 11 grandchildren that she adored, and cherished their time together. Sisters Mickie (Gilbert) Williamson, Merry (Juan) Blanco, God daughter April Cisneros, God son Juan Mena, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend who she considered a daughter, Susana Sandoval.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Edward & Edna Couch, Her eldest sister Ida Marie Couch, Brothers Francis, Joseph, and Eddie Bill, Her beloved soulmate Daniel Marez Sr., son Brandy Aguilar, brother in law Cesar Adame, niece Sharon Rietz, and Shanna Hernandez.

Please join us for her celebration of life with the viewing at 1:00pm on Friday December 19th 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, with the service to follow at 2:00pm.
