Lola Iona (Davis) Parker LeFave - 1919-2014

| December 11, 2014 3:00 AM

Lola Iona (Davis) Parker LeFave was born on Dec. 20, 1919 in Rosalia, Wash, the third of five children born to Edward and Olive Davis. She was carried by angels to heaven on Dec.4th, 2014 from Moses Lake.

She spent her childhood in Pine City. Her family moved to Renton in 1935 where she graduated from Renton High School. While in Renton she met Jack Parker and they were married Jan. 22, 1942. During the next 14 years they had five children: Louise, Gary, Jackie, Wayne and Karen.

The family moved to Moses Lake in 1961 to begin their business of Parker's Nursery & Landscaping. Lola was also employed as a cook at Peninsula Elementary School. Lola and Jack opened Parker's Garden & Pet Supply in 1965. She enjoyed many years of sharing her love of animals with clients, such as their wooley monkey, Timmy, who was forever snatching ladies purses in search of Mom's ample supply of Double mint gum. She was a member of the Peninsula Garden Club. She was active at Moses Lake First Baptist church for over 50 years and more recently at Peninsula Community church. She loved her Lord and loved sharing her faith.

After sharing her life with Jack for 64 years, the Lord brought a wonderful man, Carl LeFave into her life to share her remaining six years. Their love for each other was genuine and beautiful. They resided at Monroe House until her passing.

Her love of life and telling jokes will be sorely missed. Lola's unconditional love and devotion to her family was to be admired. We look forward to the time of joining her with our Lord and Savior.

Lola is survived by her husband Carl LeFave, children: Louise(David) Peeples of Moses Lake, Gary(Diane) Parker of Tacoma, Wayne Parker of Moses Lake, Karen(James) Liebrecht of Moses Lake, 12 grandchildren (Connie, Teri, Joel, Colin, Ben, Hannah, Tina, Crystal, Jennifer, Tina, James and Cole), many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Parker and daughter Jackie Parker.

Good-bye our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. We will see you at the Gates of Heaven.

The memorial service for Lola will be held Saturday, December 13th at 11:00 at Peninsula Community Church, 2403 W Texas, Moses Lake, Washington. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.
