Evaristo T. Hernandez 1927-2014

Evaristo T. Hernandez "Baldo" Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Nov. 30th, 2014.

Viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 at Kayser's Chapel and from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will be in Guarding Angels Cemetery, Moses Lake.

He was born in Zarragosa, Coahuila, Mexico on Oct. 26, 1927. He married his beautiful wife, Dominga Cantu May 10th, 1953 in Sabinas, Coahuila Mexico. Together they raised their family. Evaristo was very proud to become a U.S. citizen on July 5, 1990. He enjoyed spending time with family, barbequing during family gatherings. He also enjoyed making dulce de leche quemada (Mexican candy) to share with family and friends at Christmas. Evaristo's favorite past time included growing many different fruits and vegetables that he would share with family and friends. He would also sell his produce at the farmers market. Many of the grandchildren helped with the sale of his products at the market. He taught them the value of hard work and earning money for the family.

Evaristo is survived by his loving wife Dominga and his eight children, Joe and Elsa Hernandez, Robert and Beatriz Hernandez, Luciano and Angela Hernandez, George and Lupe Agbisit, Jesse and Isabel Gonzales, Gloria Marquez, Manuel and Alicia Rivera, Fernando and Simona Madrid, and sister Celia Hernandez, 25 Grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Evaristo Hernandez JR., his parents and 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
