Lions appreciate Job Corps, Skills Center
The Moses Lake Lions would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge a special thanks to our Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center and the Columbia Basin Job Corps Culinary Department for extending many hands to help us with our Lion's Dessert Bar at the Grant County Fair.
Susan Mann and Theresa Clement with the Job Corps and Christine Armstrong and Joe Larosse helped coordinate the scheduling transportation, tickets, etc., so these students could practice specific job training skills learned in their respective programs and be able to implement those skills in the public workforce. These students were always very polite and friendly with our customers. They followed our directions well. They were ready to tackle any job we asked them to do. And I know they had fun because they continued to thank us for giving them this special opportunity to work with the public.
Thank you again volunteers. You showed the Moses Lake Lion's your "I can do it!" attitude and fulfilled the Lion's Motto: "We Serve!"
You were all awesome, and helped us to give back to the community in the future with eyeglasses and hearing aides, etc. What great programs to help groups like us. Thanks again.
The students were Matt A., Dustin B., Keenan H., Rebecca K., Cheyenne M., Danika M., Maurico M. and Zachery T.
