Comprehensive Plan Amendments: The City of Moses Lake is in the process of updating the Comprehensive Plan. The following general changes are proposed:

• Update the Land Use, Housing, Utilities, Capital Facilities, and Transportation Elements

• Update land use designations

The City is also processing the following designation change requests from property owners:

• Hayden Homes: Change 45 acres of General Commercial to 17 acres of High Density Residential and 28 acres of Low Density Residential. Parcel 11-0069-455 & 466, south of Wheeler Road and east of SR-17.

• Mick Hansen: Change 20.5 acres from General Commercial to Light Industrial. Parcel 11-0065-204 & portion 11-0065-206. 6171 S. Frontage Rd.

• Wheeler Corridor LLC: Change 15 acres from Light Industrial to General Commercial. Parcel 11-0005-001 & 002. 1450 E. Wheeler Rd.

The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for all of these proposals on Sept. 11, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Civic Center, 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.

Written comments on these proposals will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on these proposals should provide their name and address to the project planner.
