Certificate of Water Right Nos. G3-01394(A) and G3-01518(A)

TAKE NOTICE: That on 7/24/2014, Young Guns, LLC of Yakima, Washington filed two applications with the Grant County Water Conservancy Board (GCWCB) to change/modify water rights under certificate Nos. G3-01394(A) and G3-01518(A). These two applications are identified as: GCWCB Nos. GRAN-14-01 and GRAN-14-02, respectively.

That with a priority of 5/26/1969 said certificate G3-01394(A) issued for 495.7 gallons per minute (gpm), 319 acre-feet per year (af/yr) from two wells of which 317 af/yr is for irrigation of 57.64 acres from 3/15-10/15 each year and 2 af/yr is for continuous domestic supply. That the current water right place of use is generally described as being within a portion of the W1/2SW1/4 S08, T19N, R29EWM, specific legal description available upon request from the GCWCB, contact information given below. That the current source locations are within W1/2SW1/4 S08, T19N, R29EWM.

That with a priority of 5/25/1966 said certificate G3-01518(A) issued for 372 gpm, 143.5 af/yr from two wells for seasonal irrigation of 37.17 acres. That the current water right place of use is generally described as being within a portion of the SW1/4 S08, T19N, R29EWM, specific legal description available upon request from the GCWCB, contact information given below. That the current source locations are within NE1/4SW1/4 and W1/2SW1/4 S08, T19N, R29EWM.

That no change is requested for the domestic use portion under G3-01394(A).

That the change under G3-01394(A) requests a place of use described as: 66 acres within that portion of the N1/2 Section 16, T. 17 N., R. 24 E.W.M. lying north of the plat of Irrigation Block 81, according to the plat thereof filed March 30, 1964, Records of Grant County, Washington. That the change under G3-01518(A) requests a place of use described as "43 acres" within these same lands.

That both change applications request the following source locations to be authorized under each water right. Within T17N, R24EWM: 3 well sites within SE1/4SE1/4 S02, 1 well site within NE1/4NE1/4 S12, 1 well site within each of SE1/4NW1/4 S16, SE1/4NE1/4 S16, and NE1/4NE1/4 S16. Within T17N, R25EWM: 1 well site within each of NW1/4NW1/4 S07 and NW1/4NE1/4 S07.

That the change application under G3-01394(A) requests to enable irrigation of additional acres up to 66 acres in total. That the change application under G3-01518(A) requests to enable irrigation of additional acres up to 43 acres in total.

Any interested party may submit comments, objections, and other information to the board regarding the application(s). The comments and information may be submitted in writing or verbally at any public meeting of the board held to discuss or decide on the application(s). The application(s) will be on the board agenda during its regular meetings, contact the GCWCB for time and location of meetings. Additionally, the board will consider written comments or information provided within thirty (30) days from the last date of publication of this notice, said written comments or information to be provided to its offices located at 1021 West Broadway Ave., Moses Lake, WA 98837.

Any protests or objections to the approval of these applications may be filed with the Department of Ecology and must include a detailed statement of the basis for objections; for each application protested, protests must be accompanied by a fifty dollar ($50) recording fee and filed with: Department of Ecology, Cashiering Unit, PO Box 47611, Olympia, WA 98504-7611 within thirty (30) days from August 19, 2014.
