MOSES LAKE - A state trooper received minor injuries during a pursuit in Moses Lake early Sunday morning.

Trooper Marvin Slemp, 30, of Moses Lake, was reportedly involved in the pursuit of a suspect driving a 1992 GMC pickup truck about 1 a.m. when the driver, James L. Allen, 50, of Moses Lake, stopped on South Interlake Drive and West Driggs Street. Allen allegedly began to back up and struck Slemp's 2011 Dodge Charger patrol car, according to the State Patrol.

Slemp received minor injuries but refused help on scene. Allen was uninjured in the crash. Allen was then taken into custody on suspicion of felony eluding. It was unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor, according to the State Patrol.
