Ephrata Proposition 1

I encourage everyone to vote yes on Ephrata Proposition 1.

If Proposition 1 is approved our Ephrata City sales tax will increase by 0.1% but it will be well worth it because the proceeds will be used to hire additional police officers and pay other criminal justice costs for the City of Ephrata. Both my husband, Mike, and I feel our wonderful town needs more law enforcement in order to discourage criminals and gangs from coming here. We can remember a time when no one locked their doors but that, unfortunately, is not the case today. Crime prevention is just as important as catching the criminals. When a crime does happen, it's extremely important that proper time is spent acquiring evidence and doing the paperwork involved to catch and prosecute the criminals. The simple truth is that our police department needs more people. Please help our police department keep our town a safe place to live, work, and raise a family. Vote YES on Ephrata Proposition 1.
