Said responds to Democratic caucus article, shares views

| April 18, 2014 6:00 AM

In reference to April 14 article in your newspaper about county Democrats, I introduced a resolution for one state, secular-democratic, where Muslims, Christians, and Jews can live in a united country with equal rights, like the U.S., in Historic Palestine, which includes West Bank, Gaza, and Israel. This resolution was adopted three times by Grant County Democratic Convention in 1990, reaffirmed 2010 and 2012, to resolve Israeli-Palestinian conflict once and for all.

I also introduced revival of Grant County Airport for commercial flights. For the 30 years since attending Grant County Conventions, this is the worst. This time there were no previous caucuses or resolutions.

The democrats who attended most of the time used to be between 60 and 120 and several delegates were elected to state convention. This time the attendees were only 18, and there was only 1 delegate to state convention and 1 to the 13th legislative district, which fell on me.

I write comments in the internet through Al Jazeera America, Yahoo, and Google, which had great international impact to the point that there have been almost 27,000 who like my page (today) since I activated my public Facebook Dr. Mohammad Said four months ago.

In running for congress - 4th District, my emphasis would be on business with the oil rich Gulf states, such as Saudi Arabia, who need our products and have similar landscape, as I had experience in this area. I am also an expert in health care, as it is detailed in my extensive letter to President Obama dated July 25, 2009 (website drsaid.net). I am pro-life, pro-family, and pro-traditional marriage. Very soon, I will have full details about my platform posted on my Facebook through the American Centrist Movement I founded, though I am still running as a democrat.
