Othello Woman injured in hit-and-run incident

OTHELLO - An Othello woman was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Sept. 17 near here, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Raquel E. Zunigaramos, 39, of Othello, eastbound on Highway 26, was injured when an unknown driver ran a stop sign on Taylor Road. The unknown driver's car hit the Zunigaramos car in the intersection.

Zunigaramos, who was using her seat belt, was transported to Othello Community Hospital. Her 2002 Chevrolet Montecarlo was driven from the scene,

The other vehicle, a 1998 Ford Explorer was impounded by Oscar's towing. When found, the driver will be charged with hit-and-run, the State Patrol said.
