Tom Harris wins crescent bar title

CRESCENT BAR - Tom Harris scored 161 over two days to win the Crescent Bar Golf Course men's club championship.

The club’s champion is the golfer with the lowest gross score for 36 holes. There were also low net winners, by division, and special awards each day.

The division I first place net winner was Bill Parker with a score of 139. Second place went to Chuck Muller with a 140, and third place was won by Gordon Lennon at 141.

Division II low net winners were:

First Place - Orlan Wood with a low net score of 140.

Second place - Terry Price with a low net score of 141.

Third place - Bob Wells with a low net score of 143.

Closest to the pin winners were:

Day 1 Division I – Hole No. 3 (at 12-1.5) and hole No. 5 (at 11-0) Chuck Muller.

Day 2 Division I – Hole No. 3 (at 5- 0) was Chuck Muller and hole No. 5 (at 29-1/2) was Gordon Lennon.

Day 1 Division II – Hole No. 3 (at 6-8) was Wes Prinzen, and hole No. 5 (at 19-10) was Dave Hayes.

Day 2 Division II – Hole No. 3 (at 13-3) was Bob Wells, and hole No. 5 (at 36-3) was Jerry Hoene.
