Jay George Alloway

Jay George Alloway, 65, longtime Moses Lake resident and business owner died Saturday, September 21, 2013 in Samaritan Healthcare. He was born April 20, 1948 in Ellensburg, Wash. to Jay Anderson and Irma (Suave) Alloway.

Jay lived his entire life in Moses Lake and graduated from Moses Lake High School. Jay worked for, and later became the owner of, Alloway Construction until his retirement. He loved fishing, BBQ's, family get-togethers, he bowled for many years and he loved to take his dogs for walks. Jay loved his family and spending time with them and being out on the boat.

Jay is survived by his children: son Jay J. Alloway Jr., of Othello, Wash., daughters Shayla Grijalva of Tri-Cities, Wash., Amber Palmer Alloway and Lindsey Alloway of Moses Lake, Wash., his father Jay Anderson of Arizona, seven grandchildren: Paige Alloway, 16, Lexi Alloway, 14, Meliah Palmer, 16, Micah Palmer, 12, Jaden Palmer, 7, Rabecca Grijalva, 8, and Brooklyn Grijalva, 4, and many friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irma Alloway.

He was loved by anyone who knew him and he will be greatly missed by all.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Jay's life will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Faith Community Church, 940 E. Nelson Rd., Moses Lake, Wash.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with final expenses in care of Carver Family Funeral Home.
