Ellensburg brothers charged, sought in Mattawa assault
MATTAWA — Law enforcement is looking for two brothers and an unknown male in connection with an assault that occurred in Mattawa in August.
Cesar Flores, 22, and Victor Flores, 25, of Ellensburg, were both charged with four counts each of first degree assault and second degree assault in Grant County Superior Court recently.
According to court documents, the prosecution requested arrest warrants due to the seriousness of the injuries sustained by the victims and the unprovoked nature of the attack.
In that incident, Mattawa police were dispatched to an assault with a knife and pipe at a residence on East Third Street and were notified that three suspects fled in a grey Dodge truck.
According to the police report, one victim had a cut on his left forearm, an open wound on his left elbow and a pipe-shaped impression on his back. The other victim reportedly had a bloody nose and blood on his face.
The brothers had been evicted from the residence by their landlord and blamed the victims for their eviction, according to court documents.
The altercation allegedly started when the Flores brothers and an unknown male followed one of the victims home. According to the police report, Victor allegedly fought one of the victims while Cesar and the unknown male assaulted the other victim with a knife and a pipe.
According to court documents, the Flores brothers live in Ellensburg.
