No one injured in school bus accident

MOSES LAKE - No one was injured when a school bus loaded with children rear-ended a car on Highway 17 in Moses Lake at around 3:15 p.m. on Sept. 4.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred because the bus was following to closely to the car.

The driver of the bus was Ruby I. Green, 35, of Moses Lake. She was driving a 2009 Bluebird school bus. Damage was reportable, but the bus was driven from the scene.

The car involved in the mishap was a 2008 Ford Escape. It was driven by Rose M. Miller, 43, of Ephrata. It was removed from the scene by Moses Lake Towing.

According to the State Patrol, both vehicles were northbound on Highway 17. Miller stopped her vehicle for a yellow light, and her vehicle was struck from behind by the bus.
