EAST WENATCHEE - A Quincy teenager was injured on Aug. 31 when his vehicle crashed as he tried to pass another vehicle on Highway 28 about 14 miles west of East Wenatchee.

Ismar Herrera-Sarabia, 19, of Quincy was driving a 2002 Toyota Corolla four-door. It was totaled, and it was removed by NCW Towing.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Herrera-Sarabia was not wearing a seatbelt. He was injured, and he was transported by ambulance to Central Washington Hospital.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the accident, the State Patrol said.

According to the WSP, Herrera-Sarabia was westbound on Highway 28 and began to pass a slower moving vehicle. He lost control of his vehicle, and it left the roadway to the left. It rolled and came to rest on its top.
