Fanny Imo Beeman

Fanny Imo Beeman passed away at Valley General Hospital in Monroe, Washington on October 12, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to parents Henry and Martha Smith in Kearny Nebraska on August 24, 1934. She was the 5th born out of 8 children.

Imo graduated from Wenatchee High School. She married Russell Beeman on February 6, 1954 and is survived by her three children: Tim Beeman of Skykomish WA; Teresa Bingham (Lawrence) of Port Angeles WA; and Ted Beeman (Jadine) of Moses Lake WA. After their retirement in 1985, they lived in Port Angeles (1985-1991) and then moved to the cabins in Skykomish in 1991-current.

Although we will miss our (mom/grandma/sister/aunt) dearly, she lived a life full of joy with her family and friends. She hosted a popular annual horseshoe tournament and earned the nickname "Queen of the Mountain." She never missed a Mariners game or a home run wager. She was very talented and sewed wedding dresses, formal dresses, Halloween costumes, doll clothes and pajamas for her family members. She generously created anything that was asked of her. She also loved to dance, gamble, cook and garden.

Imo was very proud and active in the lives of her grandchildren: Casey Harkleroad (Andy), Chris Bingham, Corrinne Fisher (Jake) CreeAnne Beeman, Jordan Beeman, and two great-grandchildren: Briayer Fisher and Gordon Harkleroad..

Imo is survived by her brothers: Jerry Smith (Phyllis), Jack Smith and sister: Marylou Chandler (John), sisters in law: Vi Burton, Nellie Hooker (Fritz), and several nieces and nephews as well as many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Beeman, brothers: Roland Smith, Wayne Smith, Jim Smith, Cliff Ebberson and sister Darlene Gray. We will always remember the impact she had on our lives and hearts. As Imo requested, there will be no memorial service.

Night approaches quietly with no apologies.

It does not light the path we must take.

But I hear the laughter. I feel the hugs. I see the smiles.

These are the sparkles that illuminate my path.

And I travel in peace.

Heaven is my new day and darkness is never more.
