Reader wants voters to consider voting yes EMS levy

For those of you that live in rural areas surrounding Ephrata, you probably realize that you are in Grant County Fire District 13. This month you will be receiving an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) levy ballot in the mail. Passage of this levy is critical in order to allow District 13 to continue to provide rapid and professional EMS response to you and our fellow citizens. This levy will fund EMS response for 6 years and cost a property owner with a $100,000 home $4.16/month. That is a small price to pay for the safety of your family and neighbors. Remember, District 13 is completely staffed by volunteer responders. I urge you to take the time and vote yes for the District 13 EMS levy.
