ROYAL CITY - The new life Fellowship Church of Royal City, which is not yet one year old, has a new pastor.

Randal Dick of Renton will serve as a leader of the church until next summer. During the next 6-9 months, New Life will be doing a search to hire a permanent pastor, church representative Lisa Dorsing said.

"My home is in Renton, but I will be spending more than half my time in residence here for the next 6-9 months," Pastor Dick said. "I look forward to getting to know the community and serving in any way that I can."

Dorsing noted that Jeff Smith, first pastor of New Life, came to Royal City on a temporary basis. He had previous commitments to move to Florida in the summer of 2013 to start a church there before he even agreed to come here.

"We all knew that he would only be here in Royal City for about a year," Dorsing said. "He and his family moved to Key West at the end of July."

While serving as pastor in Royal, Dick will play a key role in helping to find a permanent pastor for New Life.

It continues to grow as a church body and continues to be involved in the lives and community of Royal City.

"We want to continue loving God and serving others in any we can," Dorsing said.

Sunday, Dec. 8, will be the one year anniversary for New Life Fellowship. There will be a Sunday celebration service.
