Loren L. Bailey

Loren L. Bailey, 92, a Moses Lake resident and formerly of Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Moses Lake Senior Living Community. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2013 in the New Beginnings Christian Center (Assembly of God) at 318 W. Northshore Drive in Moses Lake. Loren was born in Colorado Springs, CO on August 17, 1921 to Leon and Louise (Young) Bailey. His siblings were: his brother Murris, who died at birth, his sister Lila Wilson, deceased, his brother Lemoine, deceased, and his younger sister, Ruby Fusilier, who lives in Canyon City, CO.

Loren married Jeanne Pauline Holdren in St. John, KS on March 28, 1942. Later that year he joined the US Army. He was very proud of being a driver for President Franklin D. Roosevelt and other notables in the African Middle East Theatre of War, based in Cairo, Egypt, for three years. He resided in Moses Lake, Republic, and Ephrata, WA since moving from Colorado in 1957. He was successful in many different professions.

He is the father of Larry L. Bailey, Barbara (Wayne) Searcy, Loren L. Bailey, Jr., and David L. (Barbara) Bailey. He leaves behind his wife of 71 years, Jeanne Bailey, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all of them, as well as many extended family members and friends.
