ACH Warriors lose to Entiat 56-20

After an 0-3 start, the Warriors got things back on track behind a great quarterback play from Dallas Isaak, winning two straight conference games against Soap Lake and Waterville by a combined 22 points. Their momentum came to a screeching halt this past Friday as they fell to Northeast 1B South rival Entiat on the road 56-20.
The Tigers struck first when quarterback Trang Tran called his own number from one yard out and scored on a quarterback keeper, and Entiat successfully converted the two point try to go ahead 8-0. The game went back and forth during the first quarter with Tran's touchdown the only score of the opening period.
The second quarter looked like an entirely different game as the defensive struggle became an offensive explosion for both squads, starting when Isaak scored on an eight yard run and punched in the two point conversion to even up the score. Entiat responded on their next possession when Tran connected with Medina on a 23 yard pass completion for a touchdown.
Following the Tiger's score, ACH answered back when Gallaher returned the subsequent kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown.
With the game again tied, this time at 14 a piece, Noe Quezada swung the momentum back in favor of the Tigers with a 46 yard touchdown run. The see-saw battle roared on as the Warriors leader Isaak, capitalized on the only real mistake committed by Tran during the game and showcased his skills as a two-way player, intercepting a pass and bringing it back 43 yards for another score.
The flurry of scoring by ACH had them back in the game with the score now 22-20, but Entiat would rally at the end of the second quarter to get back in the driver seat before halftime. Tran threw a 40 yard touchdown pass to Harn, and Quezada scored his second touchdown of the game on a 5 yard run to put the Tigers up 34-20 at the break. The slow start for the Warriors was mitigated by a strong second quarter that gave them life. Unfortunately for ACH, they fell into a slump again in the second half and the Tiger defense shut them out in the third and fourth quarters.
After both teams failed to score in the third quarter, Tran rallied his team in the final quarter and threw a 12 yard touchdown pass and rushed for a 32 yard touchdown en route to a 56-20 victory for Entiat.
In the end, the Tiger defense proved to be too much for the Warriors, allowing only one offensive touchdown in the game. It was another strong showing for ACH quarterback Dallas Isaak, who threw for 58 yards on 10 of 26 passing and rushed for another 57 yards and the teams only offensive score.
Isaak also scored on defense, but his individual effort couldn't propel ACH past a strong Entiat squad. The Tigers were lead by dual-threat quarterback Trang Tran who was 9 of 15 passing for 160 yards and three touchdowns through the air and carried 22 times for 91 yards and another score on the ground. The rushing attack of the Tigers was dominant with Noe Quezada leading the team's run game, carrying 17 times for 184 yards and two scores.
Next up for ACH they will return home to take on conference leader, Wilbur Creston. With the loss to Entiat the Warriors fall to 2-2 overall and 2-4 in league, making next Friday's game a must win if they still hope to make it to the postseason.
