The Grant County Assessor mailed all change of value notices today for Assessment year 2013 for taxes payable in 2014.

The Grant County Assessor mailed all change of value notices today for Assessment year 2013 for

taxes payable in 2014. 29,951 Real Property Change of Value Notices and 4,009 Personal

Property Change of Value Notices were placed in the mail. Though all property in Grant County

is revalued every year, only those parcels that actually showed a change in valuation will receive a

“Change of Valuation” notice. The change of valuation allows for a thirty (30) day appeal period

even if you did not receive a Change of Valuation notice. The Assessed Value is to reflect 100%

of the True and Fair Value.

If you disagree with the True and Fair Value, Current Use Value or Senior Frozen Value you may

appeal it to the Board of Equalization. Petition forms are available from the Clerk of the Board of

Equalization, Jill Hammond, at (509) 754-2011 ext. 331. They must be filed within 30 days from

the date of this notice or by July 1 of Assessment year 2013, whichever is latest. If you have any

questions regarding the appeal process please contact the Clerk of the Board of Equalization.

If you have any questions regarding value, please contact the Assessor’s Office at (509) 754-2011 , extension 383.

Kind Regards,
