Eleanor Lucile Bossuot
Eleanor Lucile Bossuot, 81, of Moses Lake passed away peacefully at her home Thursday evening, September 25, 2013. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 746 S. Ironwood Drive, Moses Lake. Inurnment was at Guarding Angels Cemetery. Eleanor was born January 10, 1932 in Tacoma, Washington to Dave and Hilda (Reichert) Rosenow. Educated in Tacoma and the Wapato School District, she never stopped her love of learning, which continued until her demise. She was known by family and friends for her intelligence, quick wit, and her love of design, order and simply life in general.
Widowed twice, Eleanor married Jerry Kerr, Deer Park, Washington in 1959 until his death in 1962. She then traveled to California to be with family where she met and married Ronald Bossuot, North Hollywood, California in 1964 until his death in June 2003.
Eleanor was the family genealogist and spent many hours and years compiling volumes upon volumes of family histories, which she generously shared with immediate family and relatives. Associated many years with Germans from Russia, Yakima Chapter, she was an invaluable asset to the organization. Her love of reading gave her many hours of pleasure and was a huge part of Eleanor's life.
Eleanor is survived by two step-daughters, Barbara (Bruce) Birney of Burbank, California and Bambi (Rod) Hall of Bakersfield, California; two sisters, Carolyn Allen, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Geraldine Varney, Daisy, Washington; brothers Allan Rosenow, Moses Lake, Gary (Diana) Rosenow, Moses Lake, Steve Rosenow, Richland, Washington, Michael (Doris) Rosenow, Moses Lake; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by two sisters, Marian Corbin and Rouine Sirstin; and three brothers, Richard, Maurice, and Ronald Rosenow; sister-in-law, Betty Rosenow; two brothers-in-law, Ken Allen and Lavar Varney.
All who knew her loved Eleanor and her death has left a large void in our lives.
