Last week we asked our readers "Who do you think is to blame for the government shutdown? "

Of the 304 readers who responded, about one-third, 103, blame the GOP, and one-third, 107, blame the whole group. Of the remaining votes, 73 (24 percent) blame the president, 18 (6 percent) blame the Democrats, and three (1 percent) blame "other." The "other"s may include United States citizens, according to comments left on the Columbia Basin Herald Facebook page.
