Omak Pioneers rally past Quincy to win, 3-1

QUINCY - The Quincy Jacks volleyball team squandered an early lead and fell to the Omak Pioneers in four games (25-17, 21-25, 16-25, 22-25).
The loss is the Jacks' fourth in a row and drops their record to 2-4 in the Caribou Trail League and 2-5 overall.
"I think we just started making errors," head coach Nicole Dreher said. "I don't know it was anything their team necessarily did."
Dreher thought costly mistakes by her team helped contribute to the loss.
"We had quite a few hitting errors," she said. "We didn't play our normal game."
Thursday's loss is Quincy's fourth in a row. The team is still trying to find consistent play and where players are most comfortable on the court.
"We're still kind of changing things around," Dreher said. "I think a lot of it is just us making sure we're playing the game we know we can play."
Valerie Tobin led the offensive attack for Quincy with eight digs while Irma Medina and Heidi Bishop paced the defense with three blocks each.
Setter Same Kleyn recorded 11 assists and Hannah Lindell added 13 digs.
The Jacks return to the court Saturday to host the Quincy Invitational at Quincy High School. Matches begin at 9 a.m.
