The Eagles entered week 4 riding their first 3-0 start in a half decade and hungry for a victory in their first league contest against the ACH Warriors. After dropping two close games and starting the season 0-3, the Warriors came out on Friday just as hungry as their opponent. Lead by quarterback Dallas Isaak, ACH's spread offense created problems for the Eagles from the onset of the game and allowed the Warriors to put up big points in route to a 58-40 victory in a game that showcased two strong offensive team's in the 8 man game.

"For whatever reason we weren't at the top of our game and they definitely were at the top of their game and it showed on Friday." Soap Lake head coach Joe Worsham said.

Cory Boutain started the offensive back and forth battle off with a 39 yard pass reception from quarterback, Dallas Isaak, to put ACH up 6-0 in the first. Joe Cutshall lead the Eagles down the field and responded with a 17 yard completion to Neo Wells to knot the game up at six. Both teams would turn up the intensity entering the second quarter attempting to break the tie ball game and pull away. Dallas Isaak made big play after big play on Friday night, asserting himself in the second quarter when he rushed for touchdowns of 43 and 50 yards with a 32 passing touchdown to Boutain in-between, giving him three scores in the quarter. Eagles captain David Odarchuk refused to let the game slip away for his team, rushing for two touchdowns of his own in the second. Wells caught his second touchdown pass before the half on a 15 yard strike from Cutshall to bring the score to 26-36 in favor of the Warriors at the break.

"Dallas made some really good choices as far as the option he ran and pulling the ball down to run. He found the open field and he caught our guys out of position and took advantage of those lapses in our defense." Worsham said.

The back and forth offensive spectacle continued in the second half, as Wells caught his third touchdown from Cutshall, this time from 38 yards out. As Soap Lake kept things close throughout, it was Cory Boutain who really took over in the second half, rushing for touchdowns of 21 and 30 yards, while catching a 15 yard score from Isaak as well.

"Our defensive game-plan was ineffective all night. I changed some strategies, but just couldn't find a scheme that stopped their spread offense." Worsham said.

The score was 44-32 in ACH's favor going into the final period, but it was an 80 yard return in the fourth quarter by who other than Dallas Isaak that sealed the deal for the Warriors in route to a 58-40 victory on their home field, securing their first victory of the season. Although the Eagles had another strong offensive performance, their defense didn't have an answer for the Warriors ability to stretch the field with their run game. In all ACH rushed the ball 64 times for 557 yards. In addition to the potent offensive attack, ACH recovered two onside kicks and had two interceptions that played a key role in their victory. It was a breakout night for Isaak who had 311 yards on the ground and three scores, while adding 118 through the air and another three touchdowns. Cory Boutain had a huge game for the Warriors also with 93 rushing yards and two touchdowns and three receptions, all for scores.

"I would have never thought we'd give up 58 points and I am disappointed in the outcome. Our focus now is to get the defense back on track and prepare for the next game and get back in the win column." Worsham said.
