MOSES LAKE - Sophomore guard Brendan Westendorf showcased every facet of his talent Saturday night in the Big Bend Community College (BBCC) Alumni Game.

The 2012-2013 Northwest Association of Community Colleges East Region MVP poured in 54 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and six steals. Head coach Mark Poth and Athletic Director Preston Wilks believed that Westendorf's 54 points set a new school record.

The Runnin' Vikes pulled away from the Alumni in the first half and coasted to a 131-85 win.

Poth said the game was a nice icebreaker for his team who figures to have a tough preseason schedule.

Freshman forward Sean McDonnell recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Along with Westendorf, the other returning starter from last year's team that made the NWAACC Final Four, Kevin Walker, tallied 11 points in the win.

The team shot just over 54 percent from the field and 85 percent from the free throw line.

Sophomore point guard Victor Aguero notched 12 points, three assists and four steals.

BBCC travels to Mt. Vernon Nov. 29 for the Skagit Valley Tournament.

"Our expectations are really high," Poth said.
