OTHELLO - Othello police are still investigating a Nov. 1 shooting that injured a 20-year-old Othello man.

Chief Steve Dunnagan said the department has developed possible suspects that shot at the Othello man near the corner of East Pine Street and North First Avenue the night of Nov. 1. No arrests have been made at this time.

According to previous reports, a subject exited a black Dodge Durango SUV and fired a single round from a shotgun at the victim into the passenger side of his vehicle, hitting the vehicle and the victim in the left hand and forehead.

The suspect then fled in the Durango and the victim was able to follow through Othello onto state Route 17. While on state Route 17, the suspect in the Durango again fired at the victim, who continued to follow the suspect's vehicle until he had mechanical problems with his car, forcing him to pull over. The suspect fled into Franklin County and officers were unable to find the suspect or vehicle.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to Othello Community Hospital and released shortly after.
