MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake girls bowling team captured its third win in a row Thursday after defeating Selah, 3-1.

The Chiefs came out strong in the first game, winning 805-556.

Senior Kayla Enriquez led the team bowling a 212. Junior Ashleigh Hash added a score of 172.

Enriquez continued her big day in the second game leading the team once again with a score of 193, good for a 202 average on the day. Mikayla Moreno added a score of 166 and the Chiefs were able to take game two, 772-579.

Head coach Billy Brice was concerned with the drop off from the first to second game.

"The girls got down a little bit and they kind of got away from the fundamentals of what we've been working so hard on doing," he said. "It was a good thing Kayla was on and Mikayla was on."

Moses Lake took the first Baker game 139-124, securing the win. Selah was able to salavage one point with a 137-133 victory in the second Baker game.

The Chiefs are fortunate to have multiple bowlers who can step up and lead the team in scoring any given match.

"The important thing about this team. and I can't emphasize this enough is that there's always somebody bowling good and usually they're all bowling good," Brice said.

Moses Lake opens league play Dec. 3 when the team travels to face Wenatchee.

"It should be a shootout and will be tough," Brice said. "Chiefs will be ready."
