EPHRATA - Ephrata's newest specialty clothing store is set to open next Friday, Nov. 29.

Donk Boutique owners John and Kimber Perry have been working on getting their downtown Ephrata store ready for customers since about mid-September.

"We did everything ourselves, the flooring, the painting, we put in a lot of days," John Perry said. "But just in the last few days we got everything together in place and to see that come together is great."

Perry said they just have to do some final touches and set up the rest of their merchandise, and they'll be ready for opening day. This is the couple's first business venture together, he said.

Kimber Perry said customers will be able to find unique items at Donk.

"It's a specialty boutique catering to women and children," she said. "There will be clothing, accessories, fun stuff you can't just run anywhere else and get."

Donk will carry tutus, hair pieces, scarves and jewelry, among other products. She said she used to sell tutus and hair accessories at farmers markets and craft shows.

However, Perry said she is excited to finally have a physical storefront.

"We were lucky we found a good location, we wanted to be on this main street and be a part of building the community," Perry said.

Perry said Donk is currently looking for consignors. Items don't necessarily have to be clothes or accessories, she said.

Donk is looking to carry quality lotions, perfumes and other items.

Donk is located at 21 Basin St. SW and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday beginning Nov. 29.
