Crane Delbert Bennett & Janie Jerman Bennett

Crane Delbert Bennett was born in Stickney, South Dakota on April 8, 1916 to Julius Medford and Martha Sprick Bennett. He grew up in South Dakota and Iowa. He graduated from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa in June of 1934

Janie Jerman Bennett was born in Kingsley, Iowa on June 19, 1917 to Peter Amasa and Laura Kellner Jerman. She grew up in Iowa and South Dakota. She graduated from Brookings High School in Brookings, South Dakota in June of 1933.

On September 24, 1938 Crane and Jane were married in Sioux City, Iowa .

Delbert served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater of Operations.

They celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary in 2012.

Delbert and Janie had seven children. Dr. Thomas Jerman Bennett resides in Moses Lake, Washington. Curtis Delbert Bennett lives in Lawrence, Kansas. Jon Michael Bennett died of cancer at the age of 5 in 1950. Twins Peter Alan and Laura Louise live in Saint Louis, and Janie Ruth lives in Omaha, NE. The seventh, Hugh Gilford, resides in Gillette, WY. In addition there are 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
