Chiefs named to all-conference teams

Moses Lake senior running back Jordan Lacelle (25) was named to the Columbia Basin Big 9 All-Conference Second team. Lacelle finished the season with 503 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

MOSES LAKE - The all-conference teams for the Columbia Basin Big 9 Conference were released recently and Moses Lake received 16 selections.

Senior running back Brett Moser and senior offensive lineman Reece Leavitt were awarded first team honors. Moser was a unanimous selection as a wide receiver. Moser totalled 357 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also added 329 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

Senior running back Jordan Lacelle, wide receiver Nick Sutherland and tight end Jacob Munck were named to the second team.

Lacelle served as the bruiser for the Chiefs and received a majority of the team's goal line carries. Lacelle was seventh in rushing in the Big 9 with 503 yards and six touchdowns. Sutherland caught 33 passes for 627 yards and six touchdowns.

Junior quarterback Easton Castro and offensive linemen Justin Sainsbury and Jeff Stout were honorable mention.

Senior defensive backs Chad Palmer and Renwil Bacat were named to the first and second team, respectively.

Senior defensive lineman Jacob Stout joined Palmer on the first team. Junior defensive lineman Derek Crum made second team, junior linebacker Caleb Neils and junior defensive lineman Jordan Simmons made honorable mention.

Senior Brooks Milbrandt was a unanimous selection as the first team punter and junior Rehn Reiley made second team for kicker.
