Pedestrian hit by car, dies

MOSES LAKE – A car-pedestrian collision in Moses Lake on Nov. 4 took the life of a 38-year-old man.

The Washington State Patrol reported as unknown the involvement of alcohol or drugs.

The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. Dustin Jay Warner of Yakima died just short of 24 hours later at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The driver of the 2007 Nissan Murano involved in the mishap was Roger D. Clark, 66, of Shelly, Ida. He was not injured, and the car was driven from the scene.

Also not injured was Colleen D. Suitter, 69, of Firth, Ida., a passenger.

The car was northbound on Stratford Road, the WSP said, and Warner was walking northbound on the Stratford Road sidewalk. Warner stepped into the street, the WSP said, and was struck by the car.
