MOSES LAKE - Skillfully decorated trucks, tractors and trailers will make their way through downtown Moses Lake next month during the annual Ag Appreciation Parade.

This is the 19th year the Moses Lake Business Association is holding the parade and street party in LakeTown Landing.

This year's event takes place Dec. 6. Entertainment starts at 5 p.m. in Sinkiuse Square.

Last year's event featured a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and fresh donuts, according to a previous Columbia Basin Herald article.

LakeTown Landing businesses will be open late that day for holiday shoppers. The parade begins at 7 p.m.

The parade route goes from the Surf 'N Slide Waterpark down Cedar Street to Third Avenue then down to Alder Street and then to Fourth Avenue and back to the starting point.

There were more than 20 entries in last year's parade, according to the previous article.

Dale Roth is the event's emcee this year.

MLBA is currently accepting parade entries and sponsorships for the event. For more information, visit www.mlbacares.org or call 509-764-1745.

The annual parade is the MLBA's way of honoring the area's agricultural heritage, according to MLBA Executive Director Jasmyne DeBeaumont. It's also a tradition for many families, she said. "We start planning for this event back in September," DeBeaumont said. "What started as an appreciation to our agriculture and cultural roots has turned into more and more holiday fun and an event for the whole family."
