Residents support Mary Perry for MLIRD post

| November 15, 2013 5:00 AM

The Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District is enlarging its board of directors from three to five at an election on Dec. 10, 2013. We have the opportunity to elect a person of unquestioned integrity, sound judgment and two years of personal involvement attending the MLIRD meetings. That person is Mary Perry and her attendance at the meetings prepares her to step right into the process with full knowledge of the board's activities and decisions. She has independently formed ideas about how the board can better serve the citizens of the district and how it can function in a legal, logical and fiscally prudent way to protect our lake.

Mary and Chuck have lived in Moses Lake for 46 years and have been active in many civic programs. Mary has always been a force for good in our city but has worked quietly behind the scenes. She is now ready to step into an elected policy making position. That is the place that she can now serve us best. We both support her enthusiastically and feel that our lake will benefit from her strong, thoughtful decisions. We urge the ratepayers of the district to vote for Mary Perry.
