Former councilmember supports Mary Perry

| November 15, 2013 5:00 AM

Good news! The MLIRD has decided to expand the number of board members from three to five. More good news! Mary Perry is running for one of those two new positions. Mary has held a great interest in MLIRD for several years and is knowledgeable of their mission, their activities, and decisions.

Mary spent many years on the Community Concert Association and many years on the city Tourism Commission and served as chair. She also served on the United Way Board. These activities have uniquely qualified her for the elected position she now seeks.

I was a long time City Council member and had the opportunity to observe the actions and work of people on various commissions and associations. Mary was always a positive influence in those volunteer positions. She is a clear thinker and displays a high degree of common sense. Her honesty and integrity are above reproach. She would go to the MLIRD board with and open mind, with a desire to serve and without a radical agenda.

Vote in the upcoming election and help elect Mary Perry to this important board.
