MOSES LAKE—Army Rangers and other special forces will be in Moses Lake next week conducting a military training exercise, according to Joint Base Lewis-McChord officials.

The two-week exercise kicked off at JBLM Monday. The Moses Lake portion of the exercise will take place at the Grant County International Airport Nov. 18 through Nov. 22, Port of Moses Lake officials said recently.

Rangers from the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at JBLM and units from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Ky., and Air Forces Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla. are participating in the exercise.

Rangers will use simulated munitions and small pyrotechnics, which may cause loud noises. Various aircraft, including helicopters, will also be used during the exercise, according to JBLM.
