| November 5, 2013 5:00 AM

OTHELLO - A Warden police officer was involved in a two-vehicle collision while chasing a male suspect over the weekend in Othello.

The suspect was still being sought by police Sunday.

The names of the officer and suspect were not released over the weekend.

The officer was not injured.

It started when the officer stopped a car about noon in Warden. The car's driver had a suspended license, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office. The male allegedly tried to escape police and a chase followed, heading south into Othello city limits.

The Warden police car reportedly hit a bystander's vehicle on 14th Avenue in Othello. The bystander, a 19-year-old, received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Othello Community Hospital.

The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
