Pedestrian hit Monday in Moses Lake has died

MOSES LAKE — The 38-year-old man hit by an SUV Monday night in Moses Lake has died.

Dustin J. Warner was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake after he stepped off the sidewalk and was struck by an oncoming vehicle on the Alder Street lake crossing. Warner was stabilized at Samaritan and then flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he later died, according to information released Tuesday morning.

At this time, there is no indication why Warner stepped into the road in front of traffic and the incident is still under investigation.
